Judge rules suspected Colo. shooter be held without bond

The alleged gunman in the deadly Boulder, Colorado supermarket shooting is being held without bail.

During his first court appearance Thursday, 21-year old Ahmad Alissa was formally charged with ten counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The suspect did not enter a plea.

Allisa allegedly opened fire at the King Soopers store in city on Monday. Ten people were killed in the incident, including a police officer.

The judge granted more time for Alissa’s defense lawyers to assess his mental health. He also ordered the suspect remain in custody without bond.

Prosecutors said more charges are expected in the coming weeks.
